Electrolytes Are More Than Salt.
Most electrolyte products are built around sodium. We think hydration should be more balanced.

75% of Americans don’t get enough potassium.
About 3 in 4 U.S. adults fall short of the recommended intake (USDA, NHANES 2017–2018).
Why We Put Potassium First.
Everyone knows you lose sodium when you sweat, but you lose potassium too (albeit a smaller amount). The difference: most of us already get plenty of salt, but not enough potassium. Kalyx replaces both, and gives your potassium a real boost.
So why does it matter? Well, higher potassium intakes are linked to healthier blood pressure (NIH ODS).* And every cell in your body runs a sodium-potassium pump. It keeps potassium inside your cells and sodium outside, and that balance is what lets your nerves fire and your muscles contract. When potassium runs low, that system can’t keep up, which is why fatigue and muscle weakness are common signs of low potassium, and why many people feel better and more energized when they get enough.
In short, it’s about balance. Most of us get plenty of sodium but not nearly enough potassium. Research links a high sodium-to-potassium ratio, meaning a lot of salt and too little potassium, to higher blood pressure and heart risk.
Most mixes treat potassium as an afterthought. We don’t. And low stores aren’t fixed overnight: depleted potassium can take weeks to restore (NIH StatPearls). That’s why it belongs in your daily routine.
